During World War 2, some 6.300 shipwrecks sank and have been rusting in our oceans for many years. The steel walls of these ships have been exposed to corrosion for far too long and the oil remaining in these wrecks should urgently be pumped out. These shipwrecks are ticking time bombs, because the amount of oil is estimated at up to 15 million tonnes and the leakage will lead to unprecedented oil disasters. There would be the technical possibilities to pump out the oil or salvage the ships and solve this huge problem, but most governments do not want to contribute to the costs. An unavoidable catastrophe.

Im Zweiten Weltkrieg sind an die 6.300 Schiffwracks gesunken und verrosten nun schon viele Jahre in unseren Ozeanen. Die Stahlwände dieser Schiffe sind schon viel zu lange der Korrosion ausgesetzt und das darin verbliebene Öl dieser Wracks sollte dringend abgepumpt werden. Diese Schiffwracks sind tickende Zeitbomben, denn die Menge Öl wird auf bis zu 15 Millionen Tonnen geschätzt und der Austritt wird zu noch nie dagewesenen Ölkatastrophen führen. Es gäbe die technischen Möglichkeiten das Öl abzupumpen oder die Schiffe zu bergen und dieses riesige Problem zu lösen, aber die meisten Regierungen wollen sich nicht an den Kosten beteiligen. Eine unabwendbare Katastrophe.
